Quick Dip Activities for families to do together – take about 5-10 minutes each.

Each activity has 3 parts

Instructions:

  • Find a Bible – if possible one suitable for your age children
  • Find a time when the whole family is together
  • Choose one activity
  • Encourage everyone to take part – but respect a person’s wish not to
  • Remember that you are learning together as a family – no one has all the answers, every ones opinions are valid – no matter how old or how young.

Activity 1:  Jesus is… God’s Son

  • Read – Matthew 3:17
  • Think/Talk about – Whose voice is this? Why are God’s words here so important?
  • Pray – Thank God that he was willing to send his Son to earth for you?

Activity 2: ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever’

  • Read – Hebrews 13:8
  • Think/talk about – Do you ever change your mind?
  • Pray – Thank Jesus that he never changes and we can always rely on and trust him.

Activity 3: Prayer – Learning from Paul – ‘Give thanks for what Jesus has done’

  • Read – Colossians 1:9-14
  • Think/talk about – What are you thankful for today? Why should we give joyful thanks for the rescue God offers?
  • Pray – Tell God what you are thankful for and thank him for the rescue he offers us in Jesus.
